Important Note: This is a thin cotton rug handwoven on loom with cotton threads with a pile height of approx 0.25 to 0.3 inches , It is as soft as cotton. It is then printed with wooden blocks using vegetable colors.
IMPORTANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS – PLEASE READ BEFORE WASHING
This is a handmade, hand-block-printed cotton rug made using traditional printing and dyeing techniques. Please do not wash the rug immediately after receiving it. Allow the rug to settle and air naturally before cleaning.
Machine washable: only up to 2×6 ft
Large-size rugs are NOT suitable for domestic washing machines. When wet, large cotton rugs become extremely heavy and machine washing may cause color bleeding, shrinkage, creasing, stitching damage, distortion, or damage to the washing machine.
For large rugs, we strongly recommend professional rug cleaning or gentle hand cleaning only when necessary. Always use cold water, mild detergent, and never bleach, soak for long periods, or use hot water.
Some initial color release may occur with traditionally dyed and hand-block-printed textiles, particularly when incorrectly soaked or machine washed.
Color bleeding, shrinkage, deformation, stitching damage, or other damage resulting from washing contrary to these care instructions is considered washing/care damage rather than a manufacturing defect and is not eligible for refund or replacement, subject to applicable consumer law.
If you have any doubts please ask before ordering since we make each rug as we receive order and once dispatched to overseas destination nothing can be done. Shipping alone takes 60% of the order value which is very expensive.
1. This is a thin cotton rug handwoven in looms in India with a pile of 0.5 cm approximately
2. This rug does not come with any rug pad or mat
3. This rug is printed with handblocks using vegetable organic colors ( colirs are non waterproof, colors tend to fade with extended time and regular washing) there may be some subtle differences in patterns compared to online photos.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not machine-wash large rugs or wash the rug immediately after delivery. Large hand-block-printed cotton rugs should be professionally cleaned or gently hand-cleaned when necessary. Damage or dye bleeding caused by improper washing is not considered a manufacturing defect.
