Beautiful, bright rug. I love it! I ordered it in the 6-foot size. Its ivory in color, hand-braided in India, 100% cotton (no synthetic materials or weird chemicals), quite thick, with lovely bright colors braided in: green, blue, yellow, pink, orange, red, dark purple, brown, some black (not much). My four-year-old daughter has a rainbow theme in her bedroom and this rug was perfect. It has the variety of colors I wanted but is not so bright as to overwhelm (the predominant color is ivory). My daughter loves the spiral patterns and the colors. It looks gorgeous on wood floors and would work well in any room (office, kitchen, dining room, living). Weve received many compliments on it already. No funny smells - Im not sure what the other reviewer meant by that. It was hand made in India, came all the way from there, rolled up tightly in plastic- maybe a *slightly* musty smell at first, but very minimal and was gone within an hour. (I also dont expect things to be 100% odorless.) Most synthetic rugs have an awful, chemical smell to them and a plastic backing -this one doesnt (it is not synthetic) and its reversible for longer wear. Care is easy: vacuum gently (without beater bar in vacuum- or just use an attachment without a brush). We love it! Ive never ordered a rug online, as generally I think its best to buy rugs and furniture, curtains, etc. in store so you know exactly what youre getting, if its comfortable, etc. But this was exactly what I was looking for and I couldnt find anything similar in stores. Im very happy with our purchase! Great price too. Jaipur handloom makes a good product! Love the rustic-country-artsy and fun look of this rug! Versatile.
